In short: Coin Finder works without an account. It processes the coin photos you scan in order to identify them, an anonymous identifier to manage your free scan and your premium access, and limited technical data to keep the service secure. Your collection stays on your device. The app contains no advertising and no analytics tools.
1. Data controller
Coin Finder is operated by Ads Station Ltd, 152, Office 9, Triq In Naxxar, San Gwann, SGN 9030, Malta. Ads Station Ltd is the controller responsible for the processing described in this policy.

2. Information we process
Coin Finder does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, contacts or location.
Photos and identification content
When you scan a coin, the app sends the photos of both sides, the language of your app and an anonymous app identifier to our server. Our server forwards the photos to our AI provider, which analyses them and returns the identification, the details of the coin and, where available, an estimated value, grade and rarity. Our server does not keep your photos once the analysis is complete.
The app asks for access to your camera or your photo library only so that you can take or choose the photos of a coin.
Free scan
The result of your free scan is stored on our server together with your anonymous app identifier, so that the full result can be unlocked if you subscribe and so that the free scan is offered only once.
Collection data
The coins you save, their photos, their results and the answers you give when you first open the app are stored on your device only. We do not keep a copy of your collection on our servers.
Identifier and technical data
The app uses an anonymous app identifier, shown as "Support ID" in the app's settings. Our server also processes your IP address and the time of your requests to limit abuse, and keeps technical logs that contain a shortened, hashed form of the identifier.
Subscription information
Apple App Store or Google Play processes your payment. Our subscription management provider and our server receive limited transaction information linked to your anonymous app identifier, such as the product purchased, the subscription status and its renewal or expiry date. We do not receive your full card details.
Support data
If you contact us, we process your name, email address, message and any attachments or diagnostic details you choose to provide.
This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics tools. As with any website, the hosting provider may record technical logs, such as IP address, date and time, pages requested and browser type, for security and operation. The contact form opens your own email app: nothing is sent to us until you send the email.
3. Why we use information
Depending on the context and applicable law, we process information to:
- provide coin identification, information and value, grade and rarity estimates;
- perform our contract with you, provide your free scan and confirm premium access;
- respond to support, privacy and legal requests;
- keep Coin Finder secure, prevent misuse and troubleshoot errors; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
Our legal bases may include performance of a contract, consent, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
4. AI and image analysis
Coin Finder uses automated systems to analyse images and generate likely identifications and related information, including estimates of value, grade and rarity.
The system can be wrong, especially when a coin is blurred, partially visible, worn, cleaned, rare, counterfeit or visually similar to another coin. Do not rely on Coin Finder for legal, financial or high-value purchasing decisions.
6. Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. In particular:
- photos are not kept on our server once the analysis is complete; our AI provider may keep the data it receives for a limited period, for example to detect abuse, before deleting it;
- the result of your free scan is kept for as long as it is needed to provide the service, or until you ask us to delete it;
- technical logs are kept for a limited period;
- your collection and its photos remain on your device until you remove a coin from your collection or delete the app.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your device.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent data protection authority.

Because Coin Finder works without an account, please include the Support ID shown in the app's settings so that we can find the data linked to your app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You can also manage camera and photo permissions in your device settings.
8. Children
Coin Finder is not intended for children below the minimum age required to consent to digital services in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to Coin Finder, our providers or legal requirements. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
